Default Gallifrey

(no subject)

Oh hey there! *waves* I see you've made it onto my journal. Well, mostly this will just be a writing place for me to squee and love, but you are more than welcome to look around and join me in my travels. I do occasionally do 'real' blogging privately. Anyway, if you like what you see, feel free to friend me if you'd like to follow my work ^_^

Not mine, just playing. Will put them back (relatively) unharmed.
The words had barely left his lips before a strangled, blood-curdling scream echoed all the way across the lawns.

Would you live in the perfect house or apartment rent-free if you found out a brutal murder had taken place there and it was rumored to be haunted? Why or why not?

Yup. Rumours don't bother me, if I need a place to live and someone's offering me the most beautiful place that's free, I'd take it. I don't know where I stand on my belief in ghosts, but as yet nothing sinister has come after me so :P I currently live in a house with a locked attic, per request of my landlord, and my boyfriend and I once sneaked in there. It's a totally preserved room, it's a bit weird, we don't really know why it's all locked up. My boyfriend was too terrified to even come up the stairs and he is now convinced my house is haunted; the attic is just above my room.

And it doesn't bother me in the slightest :)

Doctor Who isn't mine. Not even close.
My first serious attempt at fic in over a year. Be kind folks, I'm more than a little rusty.
“There’s something I don’t tell you nearly often enough, Rose,” he murmured, his voice only just above a whisper. His eyes searched hers persistently. “I mean, I can’t, I don’t … But you … you know how very – how very special you are to me. Don’t you?”

Not my characters. Not even close.
I wrote this about a year ago under a different name, but decided to archive it here as I liked it so much.
“I’m not made for houses, Rose. I’m not made for this life.”

Doctor Who | Episode Review - 1x01 "Rose"

Decided to chuck my two cents in with the already large pool of opinions out there... besides, everyone loves reviews, right? :)

Episode Rating: 3/5Collapse )

TL;DR. Overall, I think this episode is at least watchable. It's a bit cringe-worthy in places plot-wise, but it more than makes up for this with wonderful characterisation and promises for the future. A decent beginning, at least. Feel free to share your thoughts in comments!

“No, I mean.” She raised a trembling hand, pointing. “It’s really dark.”
